The Supply Chain
Our second year Administration and Finance class worked on the Supply Chain. Here are some of their final projects:
PABLO SERRANO
Hello, my name is Pablo a student of Administration and Finance, and I am going to present to you my logistics vocabulary work, about the supply chain.
MARI CARMEN LÓPEZ:
The companies
must comply with a series of procedures to offer the end consumer, not only the
service or the finished product, but the satisfaction that they want to obtain.
The demand of the clientele is becoming more demanding, however, different
companies are intertwined with each other, through a complex logistical
process, in order to get consumers to have everything they need at their
fingertips.
In order for the Supplier Customer
relationship to be satisfactory and efficient, one must have a good logistics
management and always keep in mind that each link that makes up the supply
chain is unique and if one fails the others will be affected.
To make it more
visual, I present my infographic that shows each part of the chain and its main
functions.

BEDA BEST PRACTICES FORUM: CONCLUSION
A great experience!! I really loved presenting “Business
is fun” to English teachers. It was so great having the opportunity to launch
the challenge and see all the teachers working on it in English. I have to say
they did a great job generating ideas on a Saturday morning J. What they liked most: adapting the
materials, the patent form, entrepreuning in English, and using storyboardthat.
In the end we agreed: Business is fun!
Thank you BEDA for the opportunity!!! For more

Hello Escuela Profesional Javeriana
My name is Cooper Wilson. I am the new conversation assistant. I am 27 years old. Currently, I am studying for a master's degree in teaching English and Spanish at New York University in Madrid. I am from Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. My family has lived there since the 1860s (which is a long time for the US). Michigan is a state that looks like a hand in the north of the US. I lived in Spain in 2011-2012 and I am very excited to be back. In college, I studied Spanish and Japanese. In the past, I have worked as a Spanish-English medical interpreter, a paralegal, and many jobs related to education. I am a proud uncle with a two-year old nephew. I’m interested in teaching languages for professional application, so I am really excited to work at a professional school! Outside of work, I like theater, love to cook (because I love eat), and like dancing. I’m looking forward to getting to know all the faculty, staff, and students of the Escuela Profesional Javeriana!

Juanma López Iturriaga concluded: For the ones who won, “keep training”, and
for the ones who didn’t win “keep training”.
But in the end WE ALL WON! It was such an incredible experience being there, in the Fundación Endesa Apps for Good Festival, that we all felt that was our price.
But in the end WE ALL WON! It was such an incredible experience being there, in the Fundación Endesa Apps for Good Festival, that we all felt that was our price.
Our three finalist Apps: Healthy Scan, Recarga
ya and Simple Life were presented in the Market Place and two of the groups had
the opportunity to do the elevator pitch. All the three groups made a great job
presenting the apps to all the authorities and potential investors and were
really professional and communicative. WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!

In the Escuela Profesional Javeriana we decided to redesign the Flag of the City of Madrid with our assistant Claire Magee. We followed the following steps:
1. We wached the video by Roman Mars on TED Talks to find out about the rules of flag design
3. They chose the best one to present to the class and explained the symbolism of the design and colours.
Coming soon the winning flag designs for the City of Madrid...

Living in London

Our International Trade graduate Nadia Tachfine is now living in London. Do you want to find out about her experience there?
"If you still don't have a clear idea of what to do when you finish your
degree you could definitely consider the possibility of coming to London!! It's
a city full of opportunities for young people.
When I finished my studies in International Trade in the Escuela
Profesional Javeriana I felt scared to move to London, but I always ended up
thinking that if I didn't like it I always could go back to Spain with a
better level of English, so I’d lose nothing!
It is true that London is full of Spanish people and this makes it harder
to learn English, but you can always socialize with people from other countries
and practice with them as London is a multicultural city.
Something interesting is that you can easily continue your studies at
university with your diploma of Técnico Superior in Vocational Training. Our
diploma is considered here in UK an HND and you can top up to the second year
or even the last year depending on how the universities that you are going to
apply consider your application.
It's a great experience and as I said guys you will lose nothing!
Nadia"
