Fair Trade companies

Our Transport and Logistics class worries about fair commercial relationships that promote fair working conditions and a commitment with the environment. To do so, we decided to import fairtrade products from different countries in the world to start distributing them in Europe.

These are some of our companies:

Fair trade Mango is a ready to eat and ideal healthy snack for everyone. We want to boost the consumption of this great fruit and to support it's fair trade in many different countries, such as South Asia and South America ones.

    

We are a company which only works with Fair Trade products; that means, that we care about workers conditions and environment.

We produce avocados in Springfield Farm in Pretoria, South Africa.

Our customers are all (super)markets aware of Fair Trade and good quality at the best price.

Hello! Our business is distributing Fairtrade coffee from Congo. 

                                                                  We offer high quality coffee at a good price. We are  a responsible organization with the environment and to mark the difference  by helping to build a sustainable world. 

When our customers taste the products, they can’t stop speaking  about them.

We have an agreement with the brazilian company ABICAB to import chocolate from Brazil to Europe.

We distribute in Spain and Switzerland, in the companies Milka, Nestle and Lindt.

The cacao is an antioxidant, it is rich in fat, fiber, magnesium, vitamin b and zinc.

Adventures from our ERASMUS students

We cannot believe it... but our ERASMUS students have already passed the equator of this amazing experience that they are living this year.

After so many days of addapting, learning new things and working, meeting new cultures and learning to work as a team, our students have had the chance to enjoy a long holiday weekend and some of them have decided to travel a little...

Pablo from Administration and Finance has sent us this words about the experience he has lived while visiting Krakow.

Hello everyone!!

I don't  know how to say that Krakow is incredible!!

The streets, the churchs, the people, the towers, the castle... all from Krakow is fantastic.

We are very lucky, cause the weather is fantastic and very sunny.

When we arrived, we went to Auschwitz and Bikernau, two of the most famous Nazi camps in the world.

The guide was fantastic, and we saw incredible places, cause there is much history behind all of it. 

We could understand how the jews live there, how they suffered bad treatment. 

The apartament we rented was also incredible, really new, and very close to the city center.

We had time to visit all, to walk arround the city, to enjoy, and have something to drink and eat in the big square...

I'm very happy to stay there, and visit this country!!!

Andrada from Administration and Finance has told us the following:

Los días aquí pasan tan rápido que se me está quedando muy corto este Erasmus.....Quiero más tiempo! Jajajaja No os podéis ni imaginar lo muchísimo que estoy disfrutando mi Erasmus, pero es que aquí estoy en una nube, entre semana las prácticas en la empresa son geniales, estoy aprendiendo muchísimo, mis compis son geniales, como os dije al principio nos han acogido muy bien, nos ayudan y nos forman y el ambiente en la oficina es relajado y siempre hay buen rollo.

En cuanto a los fines de semana, estoy de viajera, el fin de semana pasado estuve en Gdansk (una ciudad preciosa al norte de Polonia) he visto el mar Báltico, he ido en barco, he visto museos, y las calles de Gdansk un regalo para la vista y para el alma, aún no he visto todo de Polonia pero creo que Gdansk es lo más bonito que puede uno visitar de Polonia 🇵🇱.

Ana, Jesús and Franco from International Trade have had the opportunity to travel to new places also! They have taken advantage of a couple of national holidays to travel with work colleagues from different countries.

Finally, Adrián is still waiting for the weather to improve in the UK, but he seems to be eating healthy! 😄

Now they have to start focusing on finishing the final year project that they have to present when they return back home, as well as keep working in their companies trying to finish their internships the best way they can.

Before we know it, they will be back in Madrid!

ERASMUS+ 2018-2019

Hello everyone!

This post is going to be all about the ERASMUS+ programme since we are getting ready for next year!

Are you going to be our next Erasmus student?

Why is it a good idea to do your internship abroad?

Because...

• you'll gain international working experience (something to add to your CV)
• you'll improve foreign language level
• you'll learn new work techniques and methods
• you'll get to learn and experiment new cultures and countries.

INFORMATION FOR ERASMUS+ 2018-2019

The date of our meeting is published in all classrooms in which students are able to go on an ERASMUS+ grant (Administration and Finance, International Trade, Marketing and Publicity, Transport and Logisitics and Dietetics).

MONDAY APRIL 23rd @ 14:20, ROOM 7

What do you need to apply?

If you would like to enter the selection process in order to go on an ERASMUS+ next year, you need to bring the following documents:

• Your CV in English
• A cover letter /motivational letter in English (explaining why you would like to participate in the ERASMUS+ programme)
• An income tax certificate

Remember to bring these document before May 8th to the school's reception!

If you are selected you will be notified about an interview with us. The candidates will find the results of the application process before the school year ends in June.

ERASMUS+ 2018

This year 6 of our students are doing their internships in other countries in Europe.

Jesús and Franco, both from the International Trade degree, are in Tallinn, Estonia. They are working very hard and hoping that sping comes soon!

Adrián is in Bradford, England working in international matters with China, getting used to the accent!

Andrada and Ana, students from Administration and Finance and International Trade, are in Poznan, Poland. They are improving their skills in digital marketing research and enjoying the great atmosphere they have at work and making new friends!

And finally, Pablo from Administration and Finance, is in Prague, Czech Republic enjoying discovering the city and working in a very international workplace!

We hope all of them have a great experience these months and we can't wait to get more news from all of them!

Shopping in Madrid 2018

In the EP Javeriana we were analysing different High Streets around the world, so we decided to go window shopping to four of them in Madrid: Preciados, Serrano, Goya and Fuencarral. 

We also did some research on the English language used by taking pictures of the signs we found. After processing the information, the different groups presented it to the class and we debated on the use of English for Marketing and Publicity.

"Our conclusion is that businesses are interested in tourists as they use everyday English signs to catch their attention. All the globalization let us think about how interested we have to be in learning  English. The use of English also make all businesses have the appearance of being more international"

"It was a very cool experience. We could see various types of shops with various English signs on them while exploring this street. We learnt the tipe of vocabulary used in clothing and jewelry shops"

"The signs in English are in chain stores (because all the stores are similar, it doesn't matter the ubication). In little stores there aren't many things in English. We have learnt that the main language of Marketing is English."

How to negotiate internationally

Our bilingual International Trade 2 class worked on a project to develop global negotiation guides for 5 different countries in 5 continents.

We prepared a presentation to motivate year 1 students for the negotiation class they are taking next year and explained to them the way we coordinate the English class, the International Negotiation class and the assisstant class.

It was such a great experience, all the students did a great job with the presentation and prepared a kahoot game to select the best international negotiator.

The International Trade 1 students had the opportunity to make them questions and exchange points of view.

"In the Global Negotiation Guides we have learnt a lot of information about some countries in the guide for example the negotiation protocol, strategy of each of the parties, dress code, greetings and small talk… Things that we need to know in order to set a negotiation and reach deal.

We also have learnt how to do presentations in English to other people that we don’t know, so that means that we’ve learnt how to feel confident as well."

"As a group, we think it has been very interesting this project because it has helped us know that each country is different, that nothing as simple as it seems to be, where you will have to understand their way of live to know how they work, or treat people, anything.

To negotiate you have to know each part of communication as so how to negotiate to make it right and realise that the best way of finishing is getting a win-win. We have learned how to negotiate in a way that doesn’t makes someone harder than the other and nothing like that, equal parts."
