ERASMUS 2023-2024

 We have finally recieved some pictures from our students abroad!

They have been doing their traineeships for a little over a month, and they look happy about it!

Roudayna, a stundent from the International Trade degree, is doing her internship in Limerick, Ireland, helping in a lab doing administrative work; while Jadhira, from th Administrative Assistant degree, is in Dublin, enjoying holidays like St Patrick's Day.

Here we have a picture of David, from the Marketing and Advertising Degree, he is in Tallin, Estonia doing some work for a company that develops software for the Health Industry. It looks like winter is still hanging on up north!

Iris and Paola, also from the Marketing and Advertising degree, are in Poznan, Poland doing some work for a company specialised in user experience and web development. And Álvaro, from the Transport and Logistics degree, is in Budapest, Hungary putting into practice all what he has learnt working for a Chamber of Commerce.

We are very excited to see then when they get back so they can tell us all about their experiences and what they have learnt in these three months!

My experience in EP Javeriana

Good morning:

My name is Luis Valero and I study Administration Assistant. I am 23 years old. I have studied Bachelor in a High School in Madrid. After, I have done some courses, but I haven’t found my own way until I have arrived here, I think.

In this place, Javerianas School, I think I can do some studies appropriated for me. Here teachers can help me because they understand my difficulties. This school and people here have some works I like a lot.  I like the companionship I find here. I think I must study with hope and effort and I will do my best.

Finally, I think that all the studies make us get better not only to every one of us but also everybody together.

P.D I think I am already “Javeriano” because I was born 3th of December (Day of Saint Francis Xavier).

Hi everyone, my name is Sara and I'm studying Transport and Logistics.

I would like to recommend to attend a Language Exchange.

A language exchange is two or more people who speak different languages practicing each other's language. It is a very practical and fun method to learn languages. You will learn English while you meet people from different countries!

If I had to choose a place in Madrid to do it, it would be The James Joyce Irish Pub (C/ Alcalá, 59), they do it every Monday at 20:30. What are you waiting for?

Álvaro recommends...

¡Greetings! I´m Álvaro Fernández, Student of Transport & Logistics at Javerianas. I have been learning English since I was a kid, but I have never been abroad. I have just only watched how the US or the UK English is in the movies or videogames, or on TV. One thing I love about English is that you enjoy more variety of things and content made for English-speaking people, such as videos, movies, series...       

- I recommend at first watching series or videos with low content of vocabulary. -- Videogames are also a nice choice, since it´s something you can replay all the time without getting bored.

- Studying the irregular verbs list is also very helpful.

- When it comes to series, I recommend watching "angry kid", skits made with a clay-like animation about a redhead kid and his everyday routine. Low content of vocabulary, but very entertaining and original.

We receive Japanese visitors!!

The International Trade 1 class received Japanese visitors who are interested in investing in Spain.
The different companies created in the class received them and explained their business ideas to them in a meeting.

This is how the different groups describe their experience:

"We presented our idea, it's called Find a mess and it's an app where you can find the best night club. We didn't have difficulties doing the project but we were very nervous presenting it because we were the first group. We learned how to do a formal meeting and greeting to the clients.

We enjoyed doing the tour around Madrid for the Japanese and the advertisement video.

Our group learned that food really helps with communication with people from other countries and makes the environment relax, we also learned that breaking the ice and talking for a little bit before starting the presentation is a great idea. We realised that music makes young people have a good time together.

Good morning!
We are Stephany hernandez, Sandra Jordá, Álvaro Martínez and Antonio González (helped us on the presentation).

First, we put in common all the ideas that we had and it was difficult to choose one because we all had very good ideas and we wanted to put them all, but at the end we mixed the ideas and 21stuff was the result.

Then we distributed the work and helped each other to do the Power Point and the video.

In conclusion, we liked this project and doing this way because its an educational material and its more easy for us working this way. 

21 stuff is an app where you can find all kinds of things, the purpose of this app is, if you are looking for something, have a support where look many products to post the people, and if you like that, have the opportunity to buy that, to buy all types of products.

We like to work in that app because are our, we think about or app and we have managed to create it as we wanted to help each other and contributing ideas

Guio on We recommend... our new section

Hello, my name is Guio, I'm studying to be an Administration Assistant. I'm on my second year.

English is a language that is really spread throughout the world. Everyone is learning or already knows English. That means that there are a lot of resources that will help you to learn this language. The one I would recommend is to be in a constant contact with it. And how could you do that? By using the things you enjoy doing like watching tv shows or movies and enjoying them in English.

The one I absolutely adore and would recommend everyone to watch is, Mulan. I know, it's a Disney movie that is thought to be for kids, but really it has a deep plot and on top of that the English is really easy to follow.

ERASMUS+ 2018-2019

Hello everyone!

This post is going to be all about the ERASMUS+ programme since we are getting ready for next year!

Are you going to be our next Erasmus student?

Why is it a good idea to do your internship abroad?

Because...

• you'll gain international working experience (something to add to your CV)
• you'll improve foreign language level
• you'll learn new work techniques and methods
• you'll get to learn and experiment new cultures and countries.

INFORMATION FOR ERASMUS+ 2018-2019

The date of our meeting is published in all classrooms in which students are able to go on an ERASMUS+ grant (Administration and Finance, International Trade, Marketing and Publicity, Transport and Logisitics and Dietetics).

MONDAY APRIL 23rd @ 14:20, ROOM 7

What do you need to apply?

If you would like to enter the selection process in order to go on an ERASMUS+ next year, you need to bring the following documents:

• Your CV in English
• A cover letter /motivational letter in English (explaining why you would like to participate in the ERASMUS+ programme)
• An income tax certificate

Remember to bring these document before May 8th to the school's reception!

If you are selected you will be notified about an interview with us. The candidates will find the results of the application process before the school year ends in June.

This year 6 of our students are doing their internships in other countries in Europe.

Jesús and Franco, both from the International Trade degree, are in Tallinn, Estonia. They are working very hard and hoping that sping comes soon!

Adrián is in Bradford, England working in international matters with China, getting used to the accent!

Andrada and Ana, students from Administration and Finance and International Trade, are in Poznan, Poland. They are improving their skills in digital marketing research and enjoying the great atmosphere they have at work and making new friends!

And finally, Pablo from Administration and Finance, is in Prague, Czech Republic enjoying discovering the city and working in a very international workplace!

We hope all of them have a great experience these months and we can't wait to get more news from all of them!

You've got mail

We are one of the groups of the Javeriana Professional School, Administration and Finance one.

This year we are doing some projects with an Arkansas teacher “Kirstyn”, we are doing more activities, she tells us about their city. She teaches us creative things, and she is very spontaneous.

 One of the projects was making a Christmas video and maintaing contact with students from Jonesboro High school, who tell us about  their life in Arkansas and we  explained them how we live in Madrid . They told us about their school, the food they like, what they do in their spare time, they like to play sports, the weather is very different.

We exchanged pictures and culture, it was interested doing  and knowing people different from us.  

We read emails aloud in class so that everyone knows what life is like there and have more information related to their school.

This experience has helped us to learn new cultures, to improve our level of English and we would like to meet Arkansas people.
