ERASMUS 2021-2022

In case you don't know, we are right in the middle of a global pandemic, and eventhough we are starting to see the light with the vaccine, this school year was a great risk to send some of our students on an Erasmus experience.

However, we are not giving up and are already planning to start the selection process for the upcoming school year!

2021-2022, are you ready for us?

Apps to prepare Cambridge Exams

Now that the evaluation is over, it is a good time to start thinking about preparing a Cambridge exam. Did you take a test yet to decide what level to prepare? If you have doubts ask your teacher, we can help you make the decision.

Cambridge has launched some new Apps with free versions you can use to get started:

For all different levels, we recommend Quiz your English, an app where you can compete with your friends or other people and practice your English.

If you are preparing A2 or B1, exam lift is your choice.

 We hope you enjoy them!

Check our “We recommend” section to read about more fun things you can do to improve your English.

ERASMUS 2020-2021

Hello everyone!

As you may know, we are back on track with the Erasmus+ Programme. Even though we are in the middle of a worldwide pandemic, we are still hopeful and we want to provide our students with the best opportunities that they could have while they study with us.

Usually, by this time of the year we are in the midst of interviews with the different companies that collaborate with us; but since we couldn't do the selection process last April due to a whole country lockdown and ending the school year online without being able to see our students at least once before the summer holidays, we are doing it now.

All students in their second year at the EPJ are welcomed to start the selection process. To do so, you need to send the following documents to the ERASMUS e-mail from the Escuela Profesional Javeriana:

  • Your CV (Curriculum Vitae) in English following the EUROPASS format
  • Cover Letter / Presentation Letter explaining why you want to be an Erasmus student from the EPJ.
  • Document by the bank or family members stating that you have either enough savings or that they are willing to help you economically through the three months that internships last

All documents must be submitted by Friday 30th of October at 23:59.

We are contacting the companies and establishments that usually collaborate with us to see how they are doing after their respectives lockdowns and hoping that they are being safe and wishing them the best. Thankfully, most of them are back to business as normal, without any major incidents!

As soon as we have all the documents, we will start the process of interviewing with each candidate and assessing their English level in order to make the final decision.

Good luck!

We welcome Julian, our new language assistant

This is Julian, our new assistant from the BEDA Programme. We are so happy he joins our team this year. He will help us to practise our English and learn from other cultures. Welcome Julian!

Hello all! I'm Julian, this year's new English assistant.  I've been very excited to be starting at the school this year, and having met many of the students already I think this is going to be a fun (and definitely an interesting year. Introductions are not my strong suite, but I will give it a go for you:   I'm form the United States, and have lived in quite a few places there, but mostly I grew up in Colorado and Alaska. This is my fifth or sixth year in Spain (non consecutive) and my eight year of being a language assistant or teaching English abroad. I suppose you could say that I like to travel, but it's really an excuse for me to practice my real passion (photography) in new and interesting places. When I'm not doing that or working I'm usually found wandering around Madrid, casually gaming, trying to read, or struggling through the one or two songs I've (just barely) taught myself on the guitar.

I've been told to include a picture for you, which was harder than it sounds since there is one end of a camera I try to avoid.

Looking forward to the year with all of you!
